Tribeca Festival to Showcase World Premiere of ‘Jago into the White’ in Spotlight Documentary Section. Italian Cinema Debut Slated for June while international sales of the film will kick off at the Marché du film in Cannes. Life, travels, dreams, and ambitions of a young Italian sculptor now known worldwide as the new Michelangelo. This documentary chronicles two years in the life of Jago, from his move from New York to Naples where, in complete solitude, he works day and night on his new sculpture: a modern and personal version of the Pietà. For several months, he will be alone with the block of marble, in a tight relationship of love and hate, desire and fear. But Jago is not just the artist following in the footsteps of the great Renaissance masters; he is also a young pop star with over a million followers on social media who constantly track his progress and attend his exhibitions in droves. He is an indefatigable traveler who moves to every corner of the world, and an entrepreneur who has challenged the rules ofcontemporary art to break free from market logic and attempt to show young people around the world a new way to approach and tell art.
